Workplace Diversity

Description

Workplace DiversityMining for Diversity: An Employer's Guide to Attract, Recruit, and Retain a Diverse Workforce was developed as one of the MARS initiatives. In the development of this guide, more than 27 mining companies, representing an array of mine types, commodities and regions, participated in the research and shared what worked for them in attracting, recruiting and retaining their employees. This tool highlights several companies that share their "HR best practices" focusing on women, youth, mature workers, and new Canadians. The research report is also available. A Mining Immigration Reference Guide is being developed to help employers understand and navigate Canada's immigration system. The guide will incorporate user-friendly language and visuals.
