National Occupational Standards
Description
In 2006, MiHR began the development of National Occupational Standards (NOS) for three occupations: Underground Miner, Surface Miner, and Mineral Process Operator. These NOS inventory the skills and knowledge required to perform a particular job. Beginning in 2009, MiHR will develop an additional three to five more occupational standards, starting with several in the exploration phase of the mining cycle.
Project Deliverables
